TV & Radio Anchor/ Business Journalist
Ted David's familiar face and voice have been on TV and radio locally in New York and nationally for more than 4 decades.
Ted can regularly be seen as a free-lance anchor on Cablevision's News12 Long Island. He also has been heard as a free-lance anchor on New York's All News Station 1010WINS.
Ted paid a visit to daytime's Llanview where he played a debate moderator on ABC's "One Life To Life" and he continues there from time to time as Lllanview's "go-to" newsperson.
Ted does voice-over work for radio, television and industry. He is regularly retained as a moderator/host for special events and conferences.
In 2009, Ted completed a 20 year run at CNBC where he was part of the launch team that put the network on the air in April 1989. Most recently Ted was Senior Anchor, CNBC Business Radio and heard daily, coast to coast during morning and afternoon drive time on scores of CNBC Radio affiliates as syndicated by WestwoodOne .
Prior to being named Senior Anchor, CNBC Business Radio, Ted was co-anchor of CNBC's Morning Call and anchored breaking news from the CNBC Alerts Desk. He has also anchored Street Signs, Market Wrap and The Edge. Ted has anchored news updates at MSNBC and has done weekend anchoring at WNBC-TV, NewsChannel 4 in New York.
Until the program's cancellation, Ted was a free-lance reporter and anchor at Business Week TV.
Ted has interviewed CEOs, top leaders in government, commerce and industry. Daily radio and TV duties included continuous reporting on the stock and bond markets, as well as commodities.
Prior to joining CNBC, he was an ABC Radio News correspondent and specialized in general news, as well as medical and consumer reporting. Ted has 43 years of local and network radio experience, winning numerous awards along the way including a National Press Club citation for Best Consumer Journalism, The Ohio State Award for Excellence in Educational, Informational and Public Affairs Broadcasting; and The American Cancer Society's Gaspar Award.
Ted holds Bachelor and Master degrees and has taught on the secondary and University levels. He was licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician in New York State in 1981. He holds a certificate in Technical Analysis of the Futures Markets from the New York Institute of Finance. He is also a licensed Ham Radio operator: WB2TED
When not enjoying time off in Florida or at the beach, Ted volunteers at the Animal Lovers' League and Shelter in Glen Cove where he applies his medical training as an assistant in the operating room and helps with the website and Facebook page.
